Post Bris

Hey Everyone!

Here is the update.

While at the hospital I got an infection. It is called staff and it got on my eyelids. Since we don't exactly trust the last hospitals cleanliness, we went to another one which is newer and they saw us right away.

They didn't want to do anything too intrusive or aggressive and suggested some topical gel called Biactin or Polysporin and to dab it on my right eye only since the left one is drying up good.

Last night, on the advice of our pediatrition, we tried chamomile tea bags on my eyes.

The Biactin seems to be working nicely after 24 hours but it sure did give us a scare. Mom and dad are supposed to keep a close eye on it since I can't see too well yet.

I have gained back my birth-weight as of today and 45% of my food is mamas milk. Hey mom! Let's get it up to 60% next week, okay?

Aunt Kathy has been taking care of my parents while they take care of me and she loves on my like crazy...In fact she told me a story about how she used to hold my dad the same way she holds me...she must be really old!

Dad organized the spice cabinet for hours while I ate and slept and made dirty diapers. Mom, thanks so much for great love...I am really enjoying this skin on skin thing...so peaceful.

Oh yeah! Yesterday Ann, a lactation specialist, came by to help teach us about feeding and she said I was 'tongue tied'. I am not so sure...I think I just don't know what to do with my tongue to help me feed myself. I overheard them talking about some sort of exercises to help me with that. According to her it is either that, or go up to New York and get the posterior of my tongue cut a little bit so I can push it out farther.

That doesn't sound very fun to me at all!

Love, Zion
